- Watertight, sealed mating hardware allows charging outside in any weather
- High voltage pins are isolated (touch safe) when not charging
- Charging handle deactivated when not charging (could be dropped into a puddle)
- Thus no electrical arcing when plugging in, dramatically prolonging hardware life
