Billet Aluminum J1772 Charging Inlet

Super nice J1772 charging inlet machined from billet Aluminum is built to last.  Adopting the SAE charging standard immediately wins you access to the extensive North American Level 1 and 2 charging infrastructure popping up all around us, while making it safer to charge, in general.

• Watertight, sealed mating hardware allows charging outside in any weather
• High voltage pins are isolated (touch safe) when not charging
• Charging handle deactivated when not charging (could be dropped into a puddle)
• Thus no electrical arcing when plugging in, dramatically prolonging hardware life
• Readily disassembles with snap ring pliers (see pics #4 and #5) which facilitates welding, etc, if desired.

Includes 3-foot wire pigtail.  The AVC2 controller to activate the J1772 protocol can be found here, if needed.  This controller contains a relay that can be used to disable the drive system while charging, thus preventing the possibility of driving away from the charging station while still plugged in
